Intense golden yellow colour with greenish reflections. Complex nose, it is initially smoky, greasy, salty, fine oak aromas. Then the fruit of quince, yellow apple, ripe pear, a bit of biscuit, hazelnut, fine fruit sweetness. Appearing spiciness and herbal aromas on the palate. Dense, concentrated, the wood (used and new French oak) beautifully integrated. A characterful wine with mineral depth and enormous length.

Pinot Blanc and wood are certainly not innovations and are also produced in many regions up to the top of the quality pyramid, but the freshness and minerality of the slate slopes of the Mosel add another component. The French oak barrels with a capacity of 225 l and 500 l are toasted slowly and colder than usual. As a result, the wood is elegantly integrated into the wine. The targeted assemblage of new and used barrels makes the Pinot Blanc barrique so elegant and powerful at the same time.
