Delicate golden yellow colour. Intense nose showing minerality, stony, fresh apple, pear, quince. It gets exciting on the palate. Complex, mineral, salty and multi-layered. The fruit alternates with the delicate acidity. Not a Riesling as one would expect. Unfamiliar and yet so familiar. Long Finale.
The vineyard Trittenheimer Apotheke where the grapes grew is spectacular, located behind the former Trittenheim train station and can only be managed by hand. Single post training, ungrafted vines and many terraces, not easy to manage, but the result is worth it. The second highlight of this wine awaits the grapes in the cellar. A 1000 l granite barrel is used for fermentation with a small proportion of berries mash remaining in it until just before bottling. The stone brings another, salty component to the minerality of the slate
